This is managable....this is not an automatic death sentence....with diet and medication, there are many babies doing well. You just need to get through this initial process....will continue to pray for your baby...but dont give up on her yet....

I would never give up on my baby girl. This has been a very hard couple of days for us . It is hard to know she is in pain, that is the hardest part. She is on pain killers and two different antibiotics and today she seems to be having a good day. We are in this for the long haul.

Ahhh...I'll pray for your precious Sadie! It's good you got her right to the vet. I hope she improves quickly! Hugs to you...it's so hard to see them sick.

Hope that Sadie is having a good day today. What type of a diet did the vet suggest? Is it a dogfood or are you cooking for her? Hopefully it won't be long and it will be under control. Hugs to both of you.

No dog food for her. I have been cooking food for the whole pack and they seem to enjoy it better than the dog food, DH and I were talking and I think I am going to stay on this routine, making the food, this way I know exactly what my babies are eating.

So glad you took her on in and she's getting the care she needs. Praying she'll be feeling better soon. I can't imagine how stressful this has all been for you. Prayers for you, too!

Charlie has pancreatitis it is important to keep fatty foods off of the diet he has not had a bout of it (or a flare) in some time now but he has a very restricted diet (for multiple reasons) it is true that it is a manageable condition :)

If this is pancreatitis and the vet did not suggest IV fluids, I would seek a second opinion.

As for home cooking, it is great as long as you do it correctly ie: your pups need balanced diets with the right supplements. A great website to read: Welcome to Pet Diets
You can also obtain diets for healthy dogs at: www.balanceit.com

I will keep Sadie in my thoughts and prayers.

She had a really good day today, got to go outside but only for a couple of minutes.

The very first thing they did was give her fluids when I took her in. Thanks for the links and yes I knew they needed supplements and we are getting those tomorrow.
