Yorkie back leg problems Can anyone let me know if you have had a problem like this. I have a 12 year old male that has had knee problem and arthritis. The meds we were given did great for a while, however the past couple of days i have noticed that his back legs will get crossed and takes a little bit to get them where he can walk. Where we live it has rained and he has not had the opportunity to walk around as much as he normally does. I think it's just arthritis, but when I look up meds I see spinal disease called degenerative myelopathy and not sure if this could be a possibility. No one is his family has had this so I'm not sure. Any ideas? |
Welcome to Yorkie Talk. I'm sorry your boy is having these problems. I would follow up with your vet, and if possible, a specialist -- a certified orthopod or internist. There are so many things that can cause these problems and the only way to determine the actual cause is through testing and examination. |

There are too many possibilities. It very well could be minor, but you really do need to have a vet check it out. Good luck. Welcome to YT and please let us know what you find out. |
