walking with a little hop I noticed new years day that my 10 month old baby girl has a hop in her walk. Only happens when she's walking fast. Looks like her back right leg kicks up a little. Felt her leg and knees out, she didn't cry, or whimper at all. Seems OK with everything. Is this her new thing? Or should I be worried? Still jumping, playing eating, going potty fine and running. Anyone else'sbaby do this? Or heard of this before? |
Lp is so prevalent in yorkies that it needs to be vet checked. Just because shes not showing pain doesnt mean she dont have it dogs mask pain or it could be low grade lp and she just doesnt haVE pain yet but it needs to be watched by a vet to make sure it doesnt get more severe in time |
I agree, this most definitely sounds like LP & needs to be evaluated by your vet. |
I also agree it is LP issues. My oldest has had bouts with LP, fortunately it has "self corrected" for the time being just as we contemplating surgery. But, definitely, have it checked out. |
Definitely needs to see a vet. Here is some information on Luxating Patellas: Yorkie Haven Rescue - Patellar Luxation Info ACVS - Patellar Luxations |
