Found out Tuesday Becky has a SHUNT :( Hello everyone , Becky went for her Ct Scan on Tuesday , yes there is a shunt even though all her blood work came back normal liver values etc..... the only red flag was bile acid testing 129 post i was praying that thos numbers were wrong but Ct Scan revealed her shunt , im very scared she is on Lactulose, Neomicyn, sam-e , Milk Thistle , Mirtazapan for apetite and nausea ....I live in Quebec need to find a good surgeon where do i start looking cannot go to UT :( |
Are there any vet schools in your area? Or even in Canada (I'm sorry I don't know). If so, I'd call one and if they are close...go there or get a recommendation from them for a vet in your area that can do this |
Yes there is a vet school 1 hr away , my vet thinks this also why a school??? its students this scares me ..... |

You cant beat a good vet school...cutting edge equipment regular vets cant afford....and the professors that teach in these schools are up to date on latest procedures, tests, equipment, etc. For 2012, #1 Hospital in the USA was Methodist Hospital...and the top 5 were all teaching hospitals, where medical schools (Baylor, UT) run their residents/students thru. Hello thank everyone for your replies no university because no specialised surgeon until March :( so they referred me to one of their top surgeons that works in one of the hospitals and we have an appointment on WED 26 december please pray for us , im so scared !!! |
