bumping my post would really love some feedback -Garlynne Canella's Mommy |
If you can see the rash and she is itching it, sounds like a vet visit is order. Maybe she got bit by something in the yard and this is a reaction. I hope she will be OK. |
I was thinking the same thing. The only other thing that I can think of that would cause an allergic reaction is,new laundry soap. Have you washed her blankets in something new? You still should take her to the vet. Your vet would be able to give her some meds to help stop the itching and give you a better idea of what it may be. Keep us posted. |
I would check her diet and make sure she is on a high quality food and no table scraps. Alot of dogs get food allergies to the things in their food. If that is not the case, I would go to the vet. Itching could be fleas. It is aggravating to itch so let the vet see the problem. |
Take her to the vet |
when in doubt call the vet They may tell you to try something over the phone but also may want you to bring her in I would call today so you don't get caught in a emergency call or visit May save you a lot of money and not to say give you piece of mind. Please keep us posted |
I agree I would have my vet check her out. They can assess her and give you something to help with her itching. Let us know what happens. |
My girl, Katie, will sometimes get a rash that you can see on her tummy. She is very allergic to any new detergents I use on my laundry and I definitely cannot use dryer sheets on anything she sits or lays on. When she had her first rash, the vet had me give her benedryl. I am not telling you to do that...always go with your vet's recommendations...just telling you what my experience was. Hope your baby feels better soon! |
I'd bring her in bc if it's from itching, the rash could actually be pyoderma - which would need antibiotics. Is she a puppy or adult? If a puppy, enviro allergies would be almost unheard of due to where the immune system is at. Even so, you'd want to get her in bc that rash could indicate something else altogether. |
