Worried need your opinion As many of you have read my past posts my little 12 year old guy has a history of pancreatitis. I know that "stretching" is one of the signs of an attack. I have noticed for the pasr 2 or 3 days when he first gets up from sleeping or napping he stretches and scoops his tummy across the carpet, which he sometimes does after being groomed, but has not been groomed lately. How do I know the difference between stretching because he just woke up and it is just a normal "stretch And a stretch where he is trying to relieve abdominal pain due to attack of pancreatitis? He has not had any other symptoms. The only time I have noticed the stretching is when he first gets up from rest. Thanks! |
I just posted on your other thread. I would think your pup would have other symptoms, such as vomiting, if it was pancreatitis. I don't have a lot of experience in this area, but others on here do. Hopefully they can give you more information. I did find this online. Dog Pancreatitis: Types, Causes, Symptoms, and Treatments |
Thanks Thanks for your response, I did not see it on the other thread. I posted again because I get a little panicky when it comes to my little man. I like your signature abot being mom to spoiled yorkies! I saw a tee shirt that said "my yorkie is not spoiled, I am we'll trained". :) . |
My boys often stretch when they get up. I suppose one way to tell if it regular stretching is what they do afterwards. If your boy were uncomfortable, I think he would exhibit other signs. But if he walks off normally, I don't think you need to worry. Best wishes to your boy. |
