So sorry your baby is sick, please keep us updated |
Poor Sophie Kate. Keeping her in my prayers  |
Thank you all for the advice, Sophie Kate had her dosage of Trifexis 5 days ago (second month). The Vet actually gave her the dosage since she was staying there at the time. We specifically had her stay so they could monitor her for any reaction. I am waitng for another update from them. |
Sending daily for as long as you need them.... |
Prayers for Sophia Kate and Mommy. |
Praying for your sweet baby. Hopefully it's just a tummy bug, and she'll be back to her self in no time. |
I won't give my pups Trifexis no matter who says it is ok. There have been so many complaints about vomiting and other issues. I don't know if it can happen a few days later, but I would be suspect. Prayers for Sophie Kate...hope she is feeling better soon! |

Still praying for Sophie Kate, hopefully she is better soon!! ((hugs)) Hang in there Momma!! |
Just spoke withe Vet, Sophie Kate is spending the night with the Vet. She is eating chicken and drinking water. Thanks for the prayers, will keep you all posted. |
I'm sorry about your girl. :( This caught my eye. Let me preface this by saying I am not a vet. However. After spending hundreds and hundreds of hours watching vets I have. Ever seen those dose of fluids given. 300ml? Or is that a typo? The yorkie dose is about a third of that. There is no way a yorkie will absorb so much so fast and it is not healthy. JMO. She was given too much. |
Not a typo, the documentation I took to my Vet said >250 ml when I asked the ER Vet she said 300 ml. Thank you for pointing that out, I am going to ask my Vet. I know this morning when I picked her up she was squishy from all the fluids (6 hours after I brought her home) and when I first saw her after the fluids she was HUGE even her little legs were bigger. This morning when she used her pad to urinated she soaked the pad, but I was not concerned because she had fluids. This is the first time I have used this ER Vet, not real comfortable with them and will be going back to Georgia Vet Specialist from now on. |

My vet wanted to put my babies on Triflexis and I researched it and said no. I do not like the side effects and all you that own a Yorkie know that these are small dogs and can get sick easily on meds. Choose wisely. I finally used Revolution with no problems. I do not like using anything but had to because of the flea I would bet it was this med. Do not use it. Food can also cause tummy upset if it is not healthy food. Check all ingredients and make sure you feed high quality food. Healing Prayers for this little sweet Yorkie. |
