Miss Mini Miss Mini is sick again, nothing serious just sick...she's done so well for the last few months...we have spent thousands and thousands and I do mean thousands on her vetting...specialists for everything...no one has ever been able to determine why she gets ill. Shes on sucralfate and pepcid and her fever is going down...she will be fine in a couple days... Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on something state of the art tests or something? |

They have run every single test, blood panel, xrays etc...nadda. She gets so sick at times that you swear shes not going to.....anyways, it just baffles the mind...the blessing is that this sweet baby never ever complains. You know what really upset me? I have their Kennels set up in the bedroom from when I had to retrain both of them a few months back for potty purposes! Anyway, Miss Mini is always at the door to greet me always, she barks her head off, goes in circles like we've been gone for days...."he" called me at work and tells me that he came home and she was in her Kennel sleeping, did I put her in there? I told him that of course I didn't the doors open right? "yes" he tells me...I immediately knew something was off...he checked her for injury etc., nothing...but "hot" so out of the clear blue sky, once again my Mini has a high fever and is sick but she put herself in her kennel???? omg, that just broke my heart for some reason...kennels are down now, she can go in her princess house if she wants but no "cages" for my princess! Not that theres anything wrong with them, it just bothered me... |
I'm so sorry to hear that Miss Mini is having so many problems after all of the specialists and $$$. This must be so frusterating for you and I know how badly you just want your baby to be better. My girl Zowi just finished her round of Zeniquin for what was apparently as episoide of colitis. My vet said that it is a very good antibiotic for the intestinal tract and my girl's problems cleared up in 2 days. I imagine you have already had an abdominal ultrasound and she eats a specialized diet? Sorry I do not have more advice or suggestions, but do hope that Miss Mini feels better very soon!!!!! Sending you both a hug! |
So sorry that Miss Mini is sick |
I hope miss Mini feels better soon |
I'm sorry Miss Mini is sick. I wish I had some magic answer for you, but I don't. I hope she feels well again very soon. It's so hard to see them sick.:( |
Thanks everyone, sorry I get so bummed out it just so upsets me...anyway, back to the vet tonight cuz suddenly she is no longer potty trained...two days in a row I'm stepping in pee....usually means she has a UTI...but shes on antibiotics so I don't know...I gave her a nice bath last night (except for when Mia jumped in and splashed us both) she seemed to really enjoy that, I got her a full lather scratch and rub down...even her eyes closed she was liking it so much!!! I love her so much I can't even tell you how much..she is my heart! Funny thing is Mia fights like hell in the bath, as I said before shes like a cat in water...but when I give Mini her bath she jumps right in and then flys out like someones attacking her!!! |
Sorry to hear about Miss Mini. I hope she feels better soon. |
I don't know anything about Miss Minis history but wanted to say that my Sassy's 1st symptom of Chiari was vomiting episodes, some so bad that she had to be hospitalized 2 times for several days at a time & like Mini, Sassy had every test known to mankind. The trouble was they were checking the wrong areas the whole time as the vomiting was caused from the hydrocephalus giving her headaches so bad that it was causing vomiting. This all happened years before any other symptoms appeared. Once other symptoms appeared & she went to WSU for MRI & Spinal tap, the Neuro said the vomiting episodes were from the Chiari & can be early symptoms BUT very small percent of pups have the vomiting episodes as a symptom. Just something to think about & maybe another direction to go with testing. |
Poor Miss Mini. Hope she is feeling better. |
Oh I hope the poor baby is feeling better. Hugs. |
