My Poor lil Pumpkin.. This morning while I was getting ready for work, I heard Peanut sneeze, then again, and again. I am not sure if you all know what I am talking about, but do you know when you give a Bordetella Vax up the nose of a dog, right after you give it they sneeze and you can hear fluid in the nose…?? Well that is kind of how Peanut sounds, he keeps sneezing and you can kind of hear snot ( I guess it would be) in his nose. He also didn’t eat all of his food last night, which he usually cleans his bowl! He hasn’t been near any other dogs, dogs parks or anything like that. He went to day care the 14th, and seemed ok.. I took him to the Mall over the weekend in his stroller- and still no contact with any human or animal… I am not too sure what is going on with my little guy, I dropped him off at the Vet- Just on the car ride he probably sneezed like 5 times.. The Vet isn’t in just yet, but I was talking to the Tech and she said it could be allergies or a cold… She took his temp and that was normal. He isn’t coughing at all- Has anyone’s babies ever sneezed because of an allergy? Has anyone’s baby ever had a “cold”?? |

Oh, praying Peanut will be okay & just has a slight case of whatever or perhaps an allergy. Tibbe has never had a cold or allergy. When Tibbe had pneumonia late Jan./early Feb.?, he just hacked like he had a hair in his throat a few times, I dressed and took him right in, he had x-rays, bloodwork and diagnosed very early focal pneumonia, kept for the day at the vet for monitoring, given a shot, started on meds & never really acted ill we got it so early. Left for a couple of days, the vet said, it could have had such a hold, that it could - could have taken him. Whatever it is, getting him right in and some testing, treatment will likely cut whatever it is off "at the pass" so to speak and he'll bounce right back. Hugs for a very fast recovery to Peanut and kudos to a good mommie. Keep us posted and try not to worry. Peanut's in good hands. |

Aw thank you Jeanie, you always have the sweetest words. -Well he has been itchy, I know the last food he was on wasn’t working out for him and it was causing him to be itchy. I took him off that food almost 2 weeks ago and put him on Canine Caviar- which is a much better food. The last food had flaxseed and some chicken so I think that was causing him to itch! Plus I think he has seasonal allergies on top of his food! I made sure to tell the Tech that he has been itchy so she was aware and will let the Vet know. It sounds like it is going to be allergies or a cold.. I have to go to DH’s brothers wedding this weekend we will be gone all day Sat and come home Sunday, my Mom is suppose to come and stay to watch him at my house, I hate to leave my baby when is isn’t feeling well- Hopefully I can just get some meds and everything will be ok! I will tell you I am so over this allergy crap! I can’t wait for WINTER!! |

Well, if he's been that itchy and had to change foods, he's probably still accommodating his little system and having reactions to the changes, if he's the allergic type. Even if not long-term or seriously reactionary to an irritant, can't an allergy patient react a little to any changes at the start with drainage, itching, sneezing, etc.? Hopefully that is what is going on and given some medical help, he can suppress his reactions soon and settle down. And hopefully winter will hurry in! |

Ya, I am pretty sure it has to be allergic… he has not been near any other animal so I couldn’t imagine where he would pick something up. I know Kennel Cough is airborne, but he isn’t coughing so I doubt it is that he has also had that Vaccine. He also didn’t have a fever so that was good. I am just waiting for that call, after I get it and find out it is something minor I will be ok- till then I will stress out and dwell over it!! P.S How is Tibbe? |

Poor Pnut... I hope he's not sick :( Please update when you find out what's going on from the vet. I will be thinking about him today! |

I sure hope they get it figure out what is wrong with Peanut. It's always such a worry when they show symptoms. I know how Peanut feels...I've been sneezing like crazy too. Get well wishes to your little sweetie! |

The Vet just called me and said he thinks he might have picked something up from day care when he went. He said he does have a little congestion.. He is going to give him a shot of antibiotics and antibiotics to go home..he said he should clear up pretty quick since it isn't that bad... I don't think he will go to that day care anymore :( which is sad bc I know he loves it there... but I don't want him to get sick again. |

Aww, sad. We tried doggy daycare and my two were too freaked out. They didn't like being left in a strange place. I hope whatever he has clears up quickly! |

Sending well wishes to Peanut. My guys have had the sneezies for a day after snorting allergens outside. |
