I'm glad he is doing better!:) My little Ace also did horribly with the rabies vaccine! He vomited and had diarrhea, and was confused. Our vet lightly said sometimes that happens and next time they can give him benadryl. Ace was only 2.8 pounds and COULD NOT tolerate vaccines. I think vaccines are important, however some yorkies do very, very bad with them. There are holisitic vets that you can take him to and discuss his issues. I am very interested in how your petition goes, and keep us updated. |

:( Now I'm worried. My Cinders had a reaction to either shots or heartworm medicine that started a whole slew of things to happen. I'm just getting her to eat on her own and be strong. She's due for her next shots this week ( 3 month ones). I'm seriously going to ask that they give each shot separately. I don't mind having to take time to go there and get them, I just want to be sure what she reacts to. I can't believe they give the same amount of the rabies vac. to 5 lb and 25 lb dogs!!! Thats rediculous! |
welcome to yt, glad he is better |
Our Basset Hounds had a very violent reaction to the 3 year rabies vaccine. We almost lost both of them. They now are file at the vet and they cannot get the rabies vaccine. |
I have not had my Freddie Vaccinated for Rabies yet, he is 10 mos. old. When I got him he had had all his shots, except for the last of the puppy series....he had such a bad reaction, it scared me so much that I have not been back.. He is almost 4 lbs. so I'm thinking I should do it. But this makes me wonder. |

It is absolutely amazing to me that there are not more guildelines between weight. I just don't get it. On the upside, while I am writing this ( i just got home from work) I can listen to my boy outside doing his thing and raising hell with something outside. It feels so good to have hime back to normal. |
