sick yorkie Good Morning, I am new to this site and i have a female yorkie named Regina she is not eating . She was throwing up and i took her to the vet and they gave her 3 shots one for vomiting one for sensitive stomach and an antobotic this was Friday and when i came home from work sat morning my husband said she hadnt vomited anymore but was still not eating oh yeah they gave me some special dog food to give her. So i called the vet and they told me to bring her back in so i did and they kept her and as of Sun at 12.30pm she still hadnt ate nothing. I am so worried cant imagine what is going on does nayone have any thoughts or comments. thank you Georgia |
Hi and welcome to YT! I'm sorry to hear your pup is sick. Maybe she has an upset stomach...I hope they find out what is wrong with her and she is back to normal |
How old is she? Also is it hot where you are? I would have the vet check her teeth also- the only time he won't eat is if his teeth are bothering him-they are known for bad teeth... |
Bless your heart....know you are worried out of your mind. Dont have a lot to go on with her.... How old is Regina, and how much does she weigh? Was she running fever? Was she having normal bowel mvmnts and peeing OK? What has the vet told you about her...they will surely start hydrating her if she is not eating/drinking the entire weekend....need to keep her sugar up......hopefully she is doing better today. Keep us posted on what is happening with her today and what the vet thinks is the problem. |
Keeping Regina in my prayer's Hoping the vet finds what is wrong with her.:animal-pa |
I know how you feel, I have one that also starves herself from time to time and were still trying different things the Vets. suggest. Hope your baby is doing well by now. Let us know. |
Thanks everyone for your concerns . my yorkie is 10yrs old and weighs 11lbs and we got home from the vet yesterday and her blood work all came back okay. She stii wasnt wating so tried chicken and rice and she gobbled it down and then threw it up i guess she ate it too fast. Boy i was about at my wits ends so i tried hand feeding her a little at a time and she kept it down so i think she is going to be okay. The vet never did say for sure what was wrong with her. Thank you again |
Glad to hear she is feeling better! |
