6yr old yorkie in pain and not moving much..help!! Hi everyone i need some advice. We have a 6yr old yorkie who is always full of life and mischeif, we returned home today having only been out for a few hours and noticed straight away there was something wrong with our yorkie. She was walking hunched over and acting strange not looking up or jumping at us as usual. When we lifted her she yelps and wont settle in our arms as she usually does. She's now taken to lying curled up as that seems to be the most comfortable postion and least painful, when she tries to turn her head she yelps and curls up again, we're worried about her as she's never been like this before and we're completely clueless as to what the problem is. Any help would be great thankyou. |
I would have a spinal series ASAP.....sounds like she may have injured herself jumping off something...couch, chair, bed, etc....and she may have really injured her spine...hopefully not....praying for your baby's speedy recovery.... |
I agree, it deff sounds like a spinal injury. |
I agree, this sounds like a back/neck injury of some kind. Your doggie needs a vet asap. |
Clearly she needs to be seen by your vet. |
Absolutely vet her. She is likely ill & suffering if she is yelping as most dogs are so stoic when in pain. Mine goes to the vet when it acts like that. Please let us know what you found out. Your little one will be in my prayers. |
I just went through this with my Bailey... she needs to see a vet asap.. you may be lucky and with crate rest and med she will be ok...the sooner you have her seen the better chance at recovery!! Good luck |
Update please on this baby???? |
Checking back and was hoping to see an update:( How's your baby doing? |
Another "first poster" alert. My way of saying, well you know..... |
