Layla has LP surgery on Monday :( Oh I am just a nervous mess! Layla goes in Monday morning for her LP surgery. She has been feeling a bit *off* the past two days- soft poop- not sure if it is from the awful heat we are having- same as everywhere else- high 90's- been trying to keep her in and cool. If she is still having problems tomorrow I'll call and see if they still want to go ahead. I don't know how on earth I am going to drop her off there without being a crying mess- thinking about it makes me well up! We could use any prayers you have to spare- me especially :) |
You got it:hands: I hope it all goes smoothly and her recovery period flies by:love: |

I will keep Layla in my prayers for a safe surgery. I was a wreck when Pixie had hers but she had surgery the same day we saw the surgeon so I didn't have time to stress before. They called right after she was out and then I could relax a little. Hugs for you. |
I will be thinking about Layla on Monday. Please update us when she gets out and let us know how she is doing. |
I'll keep you and Layla in my thoughts and prayers.... Hugs, Kathy |
Layla will be in my thoughts and prayers. |
I'll be thinking of Layla. I'm sure everything will go off very smooth! |
I will keep Layla and you both in my thoughts and prayers Monday. |
I will pray Layla has a successful surgery and recovery and your nerves hold. Most limb surgeries are not nearly as serious and far less invasive than torso or head procedures & the anesthesia issue is nothing like it used to be. And from the moment she wakes, she will be on the road to living a norma or near-normall life again. Stay strong & try not to worry so. |
We'll be keeping Layla in our thoughts and prayers Marci. I can certainly understand how you are feeling. She'll do just great but I know you won't believe that until she's in your arms again. Hugs to you and Layla. Please let us know how she is doing. :) |
Sorry to hear that Layla needs surgery.....I am sure that you have found a good specialist to do her surgery and it will go well. We have been thru this twice now..... Shelby had both back knees done and most recently Seymour had his left knee done and an ACL tear repair. I will tell you that recovery seems to go a bit slow and she will need to be pampered! Seymour had his surgery about 5 1/2 weeks ago and he still gets a little sore and tired at the end of the day. He will be having his 2nd physical therapy session this coming Tuesday. Thoughts go out to you and Layla!!! Hopefully her issues now won't affect her having the surgery and she, too, will be on the road to recovery in no time! Hugs! (by the way, the dogs are STILL using the blanket that you made for the Kansas city meeetup raffle! It has held up so well thru many washings! :D ) Let us know how things go!!!! |

I have been reading about Seymour's surgery and I'm glad to hear he is doing well. I am hoping Layla's tummy is back to normal today and things can go ahead as planned tomorrow! eee- tomorrow! |
Sending prayers for sweet Layla. |
I am SO happy to say that this morning all systems are a go- I never thought I'd be so happy to see good poop :) |
