4 months old yorkie on antibiotics Hi all :) Just a question about walking Balu out while hes on abx. He has some blood in his poops yesterday so we took him to the vet and h She recommended him to be on abx. He's his Usual self but I'm no sure how much to push it since he's so tinny and can get sick so fast Thank u!:) Karina and Balu:aimeeyork |
What did your vet say is wrong with him ? If he's contiguous I would Not take him out of the house. |
He's no contagious , it's mostly for his own safety while he's on the meds |
Well, if he needs antibiotics, his little system is fighting something off. In that case, it would probably be good for him to not have too much excitement. I'd limit his playtime and just give him gentle walks and a little running around the house, until the meds are gone and you are sure he's better. You know how it is when we are sick, rest is usually the best medicine, to allow our bodies to use all our energy to fight off whatever we have. Hope all is well with your little one:love: |
Oh, and ask the vet if you can give him probiotics to repopulate the good bacteria in his digestive system. The abx will kill a good amount of those off and can affect digestion. |
He's still having a wee of blood in his poops :( poor little soul . We will do a blood test Soon as he's no showing any other symptoms. What do you guys think this could be ? Cheers Ps yes she's on probiotics as well. His vet prescribed those along with the abx |
