Tired and losing her hair I posted a while back about Maggie losing hair. She got better and did not lose any more hair. For about the last couple of weeks, she has been very tired. After a walk she will come in, lay on the floor and she won't move until I pick her up. She has been getting out of the pool on her own after just a few minutes. She has started loosing her hair again. She is still eating, just not as much. She used to eat her food and whatever Buster left, she would eat that as well. Her food hasn't changed, she's not eating anything different. I'm going to take her to the vet this week and see what, if any tests need to be run to see what might be wrong. Does anybody have any suggestions? |
I would ask about testing her Thyroid. |
I agree about asking for a thyroid test. I would definitely ask them to do a blood test to have her thoroughly checked out. Also, you are not feeding her one of the recalled foods? |

She eats Innova Small Bites....has it been recalled?? I haven't read anything about this one being recalled... |
No, thankfully, it hasn't been recalled. Some people also recommend fish oil. |
You might do a search for these symptoms on here and see what else comes up, but I did find this: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...s-thyroid.html |

Thanks Karen! Maggie has some of these symptoms, but I'm going to get in her to the vet and have her thyroid checked along with anything that else is needed. |

Please keep us posted! |
Yes also make sure you ask for the Expanded Thyroid Profile. |
Hope things get figured out quickly for Maggie. I know when my Piccolo was lathergic years ago, it turned out to be a symptom of something else. Will be checking back tomorrow for an update and sounds like you are right on top of this. |
