Yay for Jada! I can't imagine 14 days without a bath... My two NEED baths after 7 days. I bet she will feel so much better with her sutures out and a bath. |
:cheer::woof::yay_jump::2party::headspin: |
Yeah!!! Jada will be so happy! :) Hugs to the sweet furbaby! |
great news yay |
Thanks guys!! We are pretty excited...but she is going to have a bad scar:( It is a good thing she loves wearing clothes.:( |
:yay_jump: yipee!! Tomorrow is going to be one great day for sweet Jada Bug:thumbup: She will feel so much better with those yuckie stitches out! I know exactly what your saying about the bath;) When Zhoie couldn't have a bath for all those weeks...I about lost it:eek: Don't give the scar a second thought...even with short cut coat, you will never see it. Zhoie was cut from the edge of her chin down to her chest and I too have her chest shaved and you can't see it at all :thumbup: Hugs to you both, have a special day! |
Yay Jada! I'm sure she will appreciate the bath tomorrow. :) |
The stitches are gone:cheer: Doc said I could give her a bath, but to be careful and not disturb the scabbing. Her incision has healed nicely, but since it was so deep he said it would be best to leave that area alone and let the healing process and scabs fall off naturally. He went over the pathology report (since I just talked to him on the phone last week) and said that the mass was almost down to her spine.(no wonder the incision was so big:( I shudder to think of what could have happened if I hadn't felt that lump on her back when I did...it would have only gotten bigger. I think it is best we wait until the weekend for a bath. I have been using a waterless shampoo on her little bum and face, so it isn't the end of the world if we wait a few more days on getting in the water. |
Bless her heart...I'm so glad they are out! I know it was instant relief for her. Good idea to wait for the weekend, you are such a good mommy Michelle:thumbup: |
YEAH so glad her stitches are out. Wow that was certainly was a deep incision. I am just so happy it wasn't serious. Yep, pretty girl can wait until the week-end for her bathie. |

Yay Jada! Waiting until the weekend for the bath won't hurry anything :). Those face and bum wipings will keep her nice and fresh! |
2 Attachment(s) The scabs are coming off!!! Jada's incision is looking really good. I don't think the scarring is going to be as bad as I first thought. I would post a pic of her incision day of surgery, but it is really pretty graphic. My poor baby girl, hasn't ever been this messy and in need of a bath. I am hoping by Sunday all the scabs will be gone and we can get all clean and prettied up:) I took both of these just a little bit ago. Attachment 367087 Attachment 367088 |
The incision area is looking great! I don't think you need to worry at all about a scar. Your vet did a very nice job. I can't believe the mass went so deep. :( It is a very good thing you found it and got her in right away. Jada, I would never have guessed you haven't had a bath. My boys would look like Cousin It by this time, lol. I'm so happy for you that this ordeal is over and that you and your family can relax. :) |
Awwww momma, Jada is so pretty even though she hasn't got to have a bath! So glad the incision is looking good Michelle! I know how worried you have been about sweet Jada. :) |
