Pulmonic Stenosis-?-can anyone help? hello all, I am new to the group. I have a Schnorkie named Lego. He was born on December 28, 2011. I just found out he has Severe Pulmonic Stenosis and they give him roughly a a year to live. he is the sweetest boy. Has anyone else delt with this in their babies?? The above post was taken from another site. It's specifically a group for People owned by Schnorkies (mini schnauzer Yorkie hybrids). It just broke my heart to read this girl is being told her young puppy will die and then (I'm feeling more than knowing) being left to figure out anything and everything herself. I suggest a strict and appropriate diet based on what I read but can anyone else help or does anyone else have a Yorkie with this issue(or any other breed). Apparently it's NOT uncommon for vet's to NOT medicate this issue. :( |
It is a horrible condition. Here is a thread on YT about a foster YHR had. His name was Cowboy. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...rgery-pda.html The only suggestion I have is a board certified cardiologist. There are meds and also a procedure that can sometimes be done. It all depends upon the severity. Here is a link from the University of Pennsylvania: http://www.vet.upenn.edu/Portals/0/m...20stenosis.pdf |
Thanks! I sent her the link to this thread & invited her to join here too. |
