Worried about Scooter Just got off the phone with Scooters vet. I took all 5 of the dogs for a walk down by Lake Erie and as the walk was coming to an end Scooter starts throwing up white flem. Twice at the Lake and twice in the car and twice since we been home. Called the vet he says nothing by mouth for at least three hours then try some water and if he keeps that down try some boiled chicken. I am so worried, he is not acting like himself. I hate this waiting stuff. Vet says if he is still throwing up in three hours I have to bring him in. Please pray for my bug a boo. I know he did not get a hold of anything cause I watch them closely as we walk so I just cant figure out what it is. |
He's lost a lot of fluid so I'm glad you will take him in if he's still sick in 3 hours but I will pray that whatever bug or bit of something he got hold of has been taken care of by his body by then and you can let him drink, etcl, then. This little boogers of ours can scare us silly with upsets that don't mean anything much but continued trouble is reason to get the vet treatment you're ready to seek. Since you can't watch him every single moment, he may have eaten a bit of something that sickened him and his body is just dealing with it. I have already prayed for Scooter but will keep praying until we get good news. |
I'm sorry Scooter is sick and I know you are so worried . Sending prayers for you sweet boy. Hugs to you both. |
Prayers for Scooter that he is feeling better soon. Keep us posted on him. |
Poor Pumpkin!! Praying he starts feeling better and won't need to go in!! |
was he gagging like something was caught in his throat? Maggie seemed like she was trying to throw up last week. She'd open her mouth wide, bend down and she would make a sort of heaving motion but nothing came out. She had a few episodes over a couple hours and finally threw up some white foamy stuff twice. She did the dry heave thing a little more and then nothing else and she was fine....It really seemed like maybe something had been caught in her throat, maybe a hair....or like something had gone down the wrong pipe. Though she hadn't eaten....it was weird. Hopefully Scooter spontaneously recovered like Maggie did. Maybe it was something he breathed in or ate on the walk. |
Hope Scooter feels better soon! |
sending prayers for lil Scooter, I had to rush Prada the yorkie to the ER yesterday, I know exactly how you feel.. gentle hugs for you.. |
Hoping to hear how little Scooter is doing. |
Hi guys sorry I didnt get back right away but I am trying to get ready for my nephews funeral today and that is enough in itself to deal with so Thank God that Scooter seems to be just fine today. I do not know what it was that had him throwing up but I do know it was bad and I did as the vet said and he is fine today, so far. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. |
Wonderful news about little Scooter! So glad he is fine. It is possible he was stressed a bit extra by your grief and maybe just his normal food didn't digest well due to his woe? Am so sorry to hear about the death in your family and my heartfelt prayers go out for you and your grieving family. |
So glad Scooter is doing better!!!!! |
I'm glad to hear Scooter is feeling better. |
Glad to hear Scooter is doing much better. My condolences to you and your family on your nephew's passing. May he rest in peace. |
glad scooter is better and sorry for your loss. |
Thank you all and I just wanted to share that the next day Molly had whatever Scooter had so it is going through the pack. No one else has had it yet but it has only been one day so we will see. |
