Vomited blood Yorkie talk family, please keep Furgie in your thoughts and prayers...woke up tonight to I think the sound of her throwing up and subconsiously realizing she hadn't been next to me it bed for a little while. Saw a good amount of bloody red vomit, rushed her to the emergency vet. They are doing blood work and tests, will be giving her IV fluids, hope to know more in a little bit. She is 1 year and 8 months old...has only been away from me one night... :( |
Thoughts and prayers for you and little precious Furgie....please keep us posted on her progress.... |

I just went thru the same thing about two weeks ago with my Allie, same DX as well. We have no idea what brought it on. |
Praying Furgie will get well soon. Susan |
Sending prayers to your sweet baby! Hope she starts feeling much better soon and on the road to recovery. |
Bless her heart! I hope she feels better soon. Will be looking for an update. |
Thank you so much for your thoughts, prayers, and well wishes...it means so much! I can't remember the last time my eyes were so swollen from crying so much! Well she hasn't thrown up again and no diarrhea. They are giving her iv fluids, antibiotic, anti nausea medicine and antacids. They want to rest her stomach, not let her eat for a while and then slowly reintroduce food and make sure she can hold it down. Said they want to keep her till tomorrow afternoon... :( The said we could visit, but they said she was a little upset when I left last night that she kept looking around :( I don't think it is a good idea we visit cause I think it would stress her out even more when she wouldn't be able to come home with us. I asked the lady who gave me my financial update if she is able to go back and see the dogs, she said yes...so I asked if she could go back and hold Furgie and snuggle with her, that Furgie is just a sweet love...she said she would |
Im praying for Furgie that her condition improves and she gets to come home soon |

I did have to give her med's at home for about a week and had to eat the RX Hill's I/D. I just got back from the Vet with her, today was her yearly physical and she did so good.I can't believe that it has been almost a year since we adopted her. |

I'm praying for your little Furgie. My Gina had this and unfortunately she passed away after 5 days in the hospital. I did not recognize the early symptoms (several months before) so it was quite advanced when I took her in. So sorry your baby is suffering from this. I understand why you don't want to visit - we felt the same way. It would be too upsetting to her to visit and then leave her there. Please keep us informed on little Furgie. |

Gina started getting very picky about food. Not eating. I kept changing her food trying to find something she liked. Her stools were dark and I just assumed it was the food but actually it was blood. She threw up at night - yellow bile type stuff. Once she was outside and fell over. I called the emergency vet and they didn't think it was anything. Right!! She had a total physical/blood work done in Nov and she was extremely fit for being 11 years old. She died in Feb. |

Ugh...finally cleaning and getting house work done found 2 big spots on the foot of my comforter that she threw up on :( Sometimes I have a hard time sleeping and will take ambien to help sleep and it knocks me out! Thank god I didn't take it last night!!!! Can't wait for her to be home, normal, and healthy |
Sending prayers that she will be fine. Try to rest when you can. |

I had a pup bleed like yours in the middle of the night once and he was admitted overnight...the next day he was fine. His labs did not indicate HGE....the vet said he probably ate a blade of grass (yes, a blade of grass can cut their intestines). I knew that was not it because I was always outside with him. Well, one day I figured it out....Maxwell used to sit and wait for my bird to toss sunflower seeds out of his cage...and he would eat them. I knew then that was what cut him. So...yes, it may be those needles! |

Yay! So happy to hear that she is coming home! :) How wonderful that you will be there with her! :) |
I am so glad to hear that little Furgie is coming home. I think those needles you were talking about could certainly be the cause of her bleeding. Take care of yourself and your little girl. It is great that you will be home for the next 5 days. |
