I cancelled the appointment today.. Since last Thursday I have been battling a nasty cold, late Saturday night I awoke to one of the nastiest gastrointestinal flus my body has ever seen, was down and out till last night, still feel crappy today...well not crappy but, well ya know what I mean... I was suppose to take Miss Mia back to the Dr. to have her heart rechecked today. Hmmm, am I horrible? I cancelled the appointment until Saturday. I just need a few days to recover and be strong in case theres bad news...I am feeling a bit guilty, should I call and get her in??? |

In my humble opinion you have to take care of yourself first , just like with children if the primary care taker is sick, everyone suffers, you need to get well so you can give her the proper care, friday is only 3 days away and you need to get well so you can help and take care of her, if both of you are very sick who will take care both of you ... please take care.. hugs, |
i agree with carmen...feel better soon! hope the results for Mia are good news. |
To those that think its fine to wait. If her child needed to go to the dr and it was a heart issue would you suggest she wait because she is feeling a little under the weather and doesnt want to get bad news. If not then why with a dog. She was on here earlier starting another thread about her pups weight so Im not even convinced she is so sick because I know if I was so sick I couldnt make my appt I wouldnt be on here starting 2 threads |
if it was for results and i was sick yes....if we had been seen and following the doctors orders. i didnt see the other post. |
I did not read any other post so my apologies, i take people at their word, I guess I will NOT be posting here in this threads anymore.. Accept my apologies, Carmen |

Would you like my address perhaps you could fly to Buffalo NY to check on me and even take Miss Mia to the Dr. for me? This way you could report back to YT Police and let them know the """"TRUTHHHHHH"""" Really, honestly, in the nicest kindest way, if you know anything about my Miss Mia or have followed any of my posts you would know I am hardly irresponsible. What I was asking for was sympathy for my own guilt about it. My Miss Mia has been checked, diagnosed, and requires monitoring, in less than 48 hrs. of ownership I spent 8,700+ dollars on hospitalization, medications, 2 cardiologists and 2 vets, along with sonogram, xray and someother thing that my fever forbids me from remembering.... Now, really aren't you just a tad assuming??? I called the vet and talked to her directly, "Saturday will be fine, Lynn" take care of you, if anything pops up "text me"...OK????? And for the record, I didn't spend half as much money on Pediatrician bills as I have on vets...my children will be the first to tell ya that! My son is a lawyer and serves in the US ARMED Forces, my Daughter is a Trauma Unit Tech Nurse thingy and also serves in the US ARMED Forces... Now let me go cough up a lung so I can start my next thread.... CARMEN YOU BETTER NEVER LEAVE MY POSTS, YOUR A WONDERFUL PERSON....I VALUE ALL YOUR INPUT... Thanks for all the freaken support... |
My sympathies are with the dog. Im sorry youve had to spend alot of money on vet care sometimes it just goes with the territory. I quess it has to do with priorities. |

Exactly, and I did call (before I had any responses) and talked directly to the vet...see above, but thank you... Next time I will be sure to make myself 100% clear. also, I did ask about my pups weight too, she laughed...I could care less how much my Yorkies weight is, unless they are unhealthy. I actually prefer a bigger Yorkie. |
Yep if my dog had heart problems and I couldnt make an appointment because I was sick my prioritie would definitely be doing a thread to see if my pup was overweight yepper |
Getting sympathy for myself that would be a priority also Yep |
