I would have the surgery done if it were mine. | It depends if there is bone bruising present whether or not it is painful. I worked in orthopaedics for many years and some of pts had chronic ACL tears and really never had pain. They came in because of a meniscal tear, and the ACL tear was an incidental finding. It is a stabalizing ligament, which is why she has trouble walking.
As always, you have to weight the benefits vs risks. Anesthesia does carry very real risks, and unless she is for sure in pain, I am not sure I would want to risk it, given her other health issues. Another opinion may really help you. Good luck- I will say a prayer for you... |
