Glad to see Leo is ok. Boy talk about ups and downs! I have had several 300 to 400 dollar stomach aches or ear infections too...It's not enough to cause major damage but it does pinch a bit. But they are worth it! |

I had my husband wake him up at 4 a.m. I couldn't wake him and it scared me to death. He ate a can of Perscription Diet Gastrointestinal Health food when he got up. He still seems really weak though. I had to boil Ella ( my Yellow Lab, who definitely got into the deer meat ) some rice this morning because she has the runs! Sophie, Ziggy and Bear are doing great thank goodness! |
Hoping that Leo and Ella now are both feeling better this afternoon. I hate when you see them hurting. I'm glad that you brought him into the hospital last night though...you would have had a totally sleepless night if you didn't. Our hospitals here are even more expensive...cost me $600 to find out Trixie had a bellyache...but it was $600 of peace of mind to me (not so much peace of mind to my dh though) Let us know how Leo is doing and how Ella is feeling. Maybe it's just a 24 hours bug :( |
Thanks. They are doing better this afternoon. She acts fine but Leo still seems a little weak. My husband called the vet to see if the Dr. there today could take a look at the x-rays for a second opinion. They should be calling us anytime. The $ is sooooo worth the peace of mind! |

Steph, I'm so sorry. I didn't check this thread again, because I thought he was all better. Made me wonder if the deer they ate may have had this: Chronic Wasting Disease I don't want to scare you. It sounds like something different, but I wanted to throw this out there, because lots of people don't know about it. I hope they are both much, much better soon. |
