Help please So as most of you know Brandy has been at the vet for many things since we got her, dehydration kennel cough, pneumonia and then a relapse... SHe has got much better says the new vet but their is still signs for inflammation in the lung.. The pet shop had cover all her medical bills so I only had to pay out of pocket for the emergency visit to the first vet But now to make a choice.. the vet says she off the IV meds and has been doing better, but they would like to take another culture to see if she has a resistant bacteria thats slow the healing process.. which would cost out of pocket 230 dollars.. What do you guys think should I do.. the vet says other wise everything else is ok... she's eating, playing, getting on like a puppy should only that she still had the inflammation in the lung. she said she could come home but I don't want her to get sick. HAS ANYONE HEARD OF A RESISTANT BACTRIA IN PUPS? please get back to me.. help  __________________ :heart toyours Roz and :aimeeyork Brandy |
Yes, they can get a resistant bacteria. You need to just type in one font and not try to add colors and all because your post is extremely difficult to read. |

Oh, it's ok...just wanted to let you know. It is very hard to read. YOu really should do a C&S as the vet suggested so that they know for sure what antibiotic will work on whatever little bug she has! |

It came out exactly the same! Are you trying to highlight and add colors? You don't need to....we can read simple black text easier!! |
OMG.. it's coming out HTML style.. sorry it might be my computer.. |
I think there's also a second thread posted about this also. I replied on the other thread. Resistant bacteria are plaguing human medicine and are also found in vet med. I agree w Ladyjane, I would really have the culture done. Different bacteria respond to different antibiotics. If this bacteria needs a certain antibiotic, it will not resolve without it. |
