Mati has a LUMP on her hip!!!!! Very worried about lump on Mati's hip. It is soft you can move it some and its on top of the hip area about 1.5" away from her spine. Its the size of a nickel maybe a little smaller. I can push on it some and she will turn and lick my hand. She does not cry or anything but I can tell she don't like me messing with it. She had her shoots back in July and I remember she had the same type lump after the shots. I am pretty much 99% sure it went away. [SIZE=3]We have a vet appointment at 10 in the morning. I am just so worried about what it could be. |
Bogie had a lump come up on his back that sounds like that. His turned out to be a cyst. He was on antibiotics and another med for 10 days. Good thing you are taking her in. Keep us posted on what your vet says. |
Today they are doing surgery on Mati. They are taking the lump out and sending it off. They took some fluid out and said the cells were not normal but did not know what it was. It could be from her shots back in June. The lump was there after the shots but went away. Please pray that it is not cancer. They said it could be a posibility. We will know in a week if it is or not.:eek: |
Sending prayers for Mati. I pray it is just a benign growth. |
we are keeping you and Mati in our thoughts and hoping for no cancer. i will have to start checking my furr babies on a regular basis. thank you for the reminder. |
Wishing that you receive the best news possible. Be positive. |
Mati came home yesterday in some pain. She was moaning and crying some. They did not give her pain meds after the surgery because of how small she is.(5lbs) They wanted to see how she would do first. Before I even left the vets I asked for pain meds! I felt so sorry for her. They had to cut her two inches down her back thigh. Her little leg is barely that long. LOL The dr. said it looked to be benign and was not attached to anything so that was good news. Last night was hard for her and this morning she is not wanting to go potty and she just sits there when I put her on the floor. I am sure she is hurting today. I can only give her pain meds 1 time a day. Keep her in your prayers. :aimeeyork |
I will say a prayer for Mati. Poor little thing. Can you ask your doctor about increasing the times for pain medicine? Hope the results come back with good news. |
oh well at least you have some good news behind all this worry! so glad shes home and wishing her a fast out of pain recovery! |
Im sorry for what your baby is going through. I hope that as the day goes on,she will feel better. |
Yippie!!!!!!!!! No cancer. The vet said it was a reaction to her shots from June. I let them talk me into doing the three year vaccine. I will never do that again. I may never get anymore period!!!! |
Thank you to everyone that prayed for her. :p |
I am so happy your baby had a benign growth. My Dallas had something this summer on his lower torso that was the size of the end of my pinkey. I had the vet remove it when he went under for his dental and then biopsy the lump. It was a follicular cyst. I didn't know how worried I was until I got the report back and almost started crying. The worst part for us was keeping his cone of shame on 24/7 and the antibiotics 2x a day. Best of luck with her recovery, so happy to hear Mati is well. |
YAY!!! I am so happy for you guys. |
Yeah this is wonderful new's. I'm glad that all is OK. |
