Rug Burn Sore or something else? 2 Attachment(s) While Sasha was busy trying to scare the squirrels out of my mom's flower pots this afternoon , I picked her up to have her sit down with me while me and my mom talked at the table when my mom happened to notice this red sore near her private area. At first I thought it was blood, but nothing came off when I dabbed it with a napkin. It's not a stain like old blood or something & it isn't raised at all. The pictures actually look worse than it really is. She doesn't seem uncomfortable if I touch it at all. Hopefully I attach the photos correctly so everyone can see. Any idea as to what this could be? |
Could she possibly gotten bit by something? Maybe she got scratched by tree limb going after the squirrels. |
Kacee got a "rug burn" when she went sliding on my patio while she was trying to miss a flower pot this summer. It just raised the blood to the surface and that kinda looks like what she had. |

That's what I'm thinking it is because it isn't raised at all & really doesn't seem to be bothering her at all. Of course I'll be keeping an eye on it but was just looking for some opinions. |

Sorry, I guess I should have said that she was attempting to chase the squirrels from inside the house. They were in my mom's flower pots outside & Sasha was inside barking frantically at the back door at them. Our yard isn't fenced it so she doesn't really get to run around in it & when she is outside, she's on a flexi leash so I'm always watching her. Plus, no trees in our yard & it isn't raised at all like I would think a bite would be. |
I would take her to the vet if it is not healing. I also wonder about "urine burn". Could she be urinating a certain way so that some is repeatedly getting on her lower belly when she goes? |
The only other thought I have is that it could have gotten pinched in some clothing or some other way. I think it'll go away. |
