I got Lizzie's ashes back last week, it is two weeks today that I lost her. Her ashes are in a beautiful Oak Box with her name engraved on top and she is now placed in the Curio Cabinet with the 7 others before her.
I am still having a very difficult time since she passed. She was almost 15, had her since was 8 weeks old. She was my heart dog.

I would have never understood what "my heart dog" meant until I got my Sophie. They take ownership of your heart. I am 69 and she is 2 so I think I have a deal with her that she has to outlive me.

Steve...I know your heart must be hurting really bad right now especially now that you have Carlo home again....it was comforting for me when our Biscuit was back with me, but it is still very difficult. You need lots of time to heal and I'm hoping that Maxine, Basil and Caper are helping with their antics and yorkie kisses. We will all continue to pray for healing...Carlo was very special to alot of us and still is.

aww glad to hear that carlo is back home with you... hope you guys are hangin' in there. glad you have those 2 little clowns to help make you smile still and maxine to supervise them, but i know you're missing your big scooby doo carlo and i understand how hard it is without him. :( we also had a pawprint clay ornament made of nika when she passed. it's definitely a treasured memory of her. i put it in a little shadowbox frame with a picture of her and it's hanging in our living room.
keeping you in our thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.

I am so sorry for you in the loss of your precious Carlo. I send heartfelt sympathy to you, Marge and the yorkies. So very sad, but what a wonderful life you gave him.

I just read this thread. I am so sorry about the passing of Carlo the wonderful gentle giant. My deepest condolences to you, Marge, Maxine, and the Spice Boys. God Bless Carlo.

Oh Steve! I am just now seeing this :( So sorry for your loss. ::hugs::

Carlo will be protecting your family still, now as a guardian angel. He'll wait for you at rainbow bridge and have a wagging tail the day you meet again. :love:

Thank you, all of you for the kind words. Been 2 weeks now. Seems like yesterday. I still sometimes forget and call out his name to go out.

It's so hard to tell someone how sorry you are when they lose their best friend. I both laughed and cried through all of your Carlo stories...he will live long in all of our minds. Thanks for sharing him with us....

Steve, I'm so sorry for loss of Carlo. I just seen this thread this morning. I cried when I saw it, and had to come back this afternoon.

Words can never tell you how sorry I am for your family's loss. There are several people on here that I like to read their post. I love reading your post. Thank you for sharing your stories with us about Carlo.

Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Steve...I'm just seeing the news of your gentle giant, Carlo's passing.:(

He certainly was a real trooper and as his Daddy, you definitely went above & beyond the call of duty for your big boy...rest in peace dear Carlo!:love:
