I have a feeling... Gizmo got a hold of a little bit of chocolate last night. We went over ot my brother's place after trick or treating and I didn't know my sister-in-laws nephew would be there. Well, he was running around with chocolate all over his face and hands. I'm pretty sure Gizmo got a little bit of a lick of it, or he had too much partying yesterday. He's vomited a little bit, and has the runs. He's only vomited once and just started having the runs, so I'm keeping an eye on him. He ate some kibble this morning and has been drinking. I also just gave him some nutrical. Poor little party monster :( |
Are you sure he didn't get a bigger piece? One lick shouldn't cause anything to happen unless it's an extremely sensitive pup (which could be the case)...or stress, etc... Sounds like he'll be fine, but didn't you just get him through a ton of intestinal stuff? Are these the same symptoms? Did the vet ever get to the bottom of what is going on with him? Seems he is awfully young to have issues that recur this often unless he keeps getting into things.. |
Vet thought it was just a GI upset. She suspected it may be a situation that needed some antibiotic. He was kind of freaking out yesterday with all of the trick-or-treaters so I'm wondering if it's stress as well. I'm keeping an eye on him. He's laying in the kichen sun bathing so... I agree with you, he's awful young. Wondering maybe if he just has a sensative tummy. |
Last night I was at my mum & dad's (they live in a subdivision) to hand out candy. ZoE didn't even try to touch the milky ways, snickers & reeses we had to hand out.....but she did sneak into my mum's room and take a big ole bite out of the Godiva dark chocolate with a hint of orange, that was sitting on the nightstand  Thankfully, she was fine and showed no ill effects from her treat. Hope Gizmo is feeling better and it was just the excitement of the night. |
