My Pixie was 2 when she lost complete use of her back legs, she was diagnosed with severe LP and her kneecaps were twisted and on the insides of her legs. I forget the name of the surgery she has but it involved cutting the bones off her leg then straightening then, pinnin them back in place then pinning her kneecaps back where they were supposed to be, then she had the LP surgery. She did very well, she had both legs done at the same time, then 2 weeks later had to have one redone as the surgery did not work the first time.

Thank you! That's exactly whats going on with Chloe. I'm glad to hear Pixie did well. How are her knees now?

Glad to hear that Chloe is out of surgery and that it went well.
I know you can't wait to get her home. Then comes the hard part of keeping still for her recovery.

Youre absolutely right! I'm very anxious to get her home. The surgeon encourages walking on it ASAP but she's so playful... Its going to be a quite the challenge keeping her still...

I'm just thrilled that the surgery was a success for Baby Chloe. Uncle Teddy said he wants Chloe to come over to play as soon as she is allowed. He is very lazy, so he will be fine with snuggling on the cloud 9 with her if that is all she can do :)

She looks like a little doll!! So glad to hear that her surgery is over and she is home resting. Lots of love and kisses for her during her recovery. I am happy for both of you that she is home.

awww poor baby.....her booboo will get better each day.....

That picture is heartbreaking...it is so hard to see them go through such things.

Very happy to hear that Chloe's surgery went well and that she is home. I hope she is resting comfortably tonight and feeling better with each passing day.

She's still in some pain and still very uncomfortable. She's very itchy where they shaved her. I try and scratch it for her as much as I can. When I can't she rolls around on the floor because she can't get to it with her teeth... Other then that she's doing pretty good. She's actually using that leg a little and putting some weight on it.

Sounds like things are going very well! Happy to hear it....each day the discomfort will be less. She is lucky to have you.

Chloe goes in for her 4 week well 5 week check up tomorrow. She ran into a bit of a complication. 1 of the 2 pins holding her knee together started to come out. It actually broke through the skin! They had to pull it out. While she was awake... She didn't even flinch! She's such a trooper. They said she would be ok with just the 1 pin with strict crate rest. She's been on lock down ever since... I pray she's healing as good as I think she is... I'll let you guys know tomorrow.
