Twisted Bowel
 
After my previous post on Bentley, I have found out that he has twisted bowel. I know nothing about that, and am afraid to look it up. I was just wondering if anyone has dealt with this issue before?

I would be speaking with the vet about the possibility of transferring him to a board certified surgeon. Things like this can be very serious and it is considered an emergency. I am sorry this has happened and will definitely pray for Bentley.

I honestly would trust my dog with anyone else. He knows how I feel about my babies, and he always is more than happy to do anything in the world for me. He is one of the best in our area.

I'm just worried about how common this is in small dogs, and if it's a surgery with a high success rate. I'm sick.

He said that it could be an obstruction too! My dad went to look at the xrays for me and he said you can def tell where the intestines shrink up and no dye is getting through. I am PRAYING it's just an obstruction and not twisted bowel. Until they get in tomorrow, we won't really know. Those were the two things that he said it could be. So girls, please pray it's just an obstruction. I know the way he likes to chew on things, and an obstruction is a definate possibility.

I am praying really hard for Bentley, it just breaks my heart when anyone has a sick little guy.

They wanted to remove food and water for the night and start free tomorrow. He's still been having a little bit of issues. I'm praying hard that it is just a piece of a toy stuck or something. They are monitoring him tonight. I'm so picky about my babies and my vet knows it. They are my babies. I can't imagine life without them. Which to some people sounds so crazy, but I know that all you ladies know what I mean.

Thank you so much! It feels so empty without him in our home. Zoey is lost too! I can't wait to bring my baby home. He probably misses his momma. He's def a momma's boy. Spoiled rotten. It makes me sad having to leave him there all night.

I just wanted to say how sorry I am thaat he is in hospital and I'm saying prayers for him. Hugs to you, too.

Thanks! I have been so hormonal anyways and this has dumped me over the edge of the hormonal ship. I am almost 5 weeks pregnant and a cry bag anyways. This is killing me. Sad to say I am bawling as I am typing this BC it's so nice to have a place where people understand (and I miss my baby boy). I'm snuggling up with Zoey, I can't wait until he's home! :animal-pa

There is one thing to be very happy about. A lil baby! Congratulations! I'm sure your lil fellow is in great hands and you'll know more tomorrow. I'll still keep him in my prayers tonight. I'd be crying, too. You're not alone there!

I know he's in good hands, it's just the fear of the unknown. I'll def be distracted at school tomorrow, good thing my class is amazing. They are all so concerned about him too!

Please let us know as soon as you find out anything. Just prayed for him and I know God is concerned for these little babies too. After all He created them. We had something tramatic happen with Tina years ago and I was so afraid we were going to lose her. She turned 14 last May. God is good and He has His hand on your little guy. Be positive, even though I know how hard that is sometimes. He is going to be just fine.

Thank You so much! I cried all the way To work. I should know something by noon. Our God is amazing. He has So much loving power. I believe in my heart he will be OK. Now, I have To gather myself for my 22 fourth graders.
