Red Rash Daisy is fine after her spay, but she has red rashes along the top of her legs where she was clamped. So i put a bandage around her scar and then around her legs to stop her licking it and making it worse. Does anyone have any ideas if i should put any cream on them or vaseline,or should i ring my vet::confused: |
I would call the vet. As far as putting a bandage on the incision, I would use a baby onsie instead so more air can get in & infection does not develope. |

Yes, I would use a baby onsie.... I used one for Riley at night when I couldn't keep an eye on him. Did they give you an e-collar? You may have to use that to keep her from licking. |
Is it a rash or slight bruising? I had that happen with one of my fosters not so long ago. It was a light reddish color but was superficial bruising. It went away on its own. I am guessing your vet told you what it was from so he/she knows about it? I would just call and ask about it. As long as it does not worsen, I am sure it will be fine. A onesie or e-collar definitely should help if she is licking. I prefer e-collars. |
Hi everyone phoned the vet it seems she has a small alergic reaction to the clamps so she told me to wash it with betadine and water mix and then put oinment fenistil to stop the itching apart from that she is fine relaxing alot thank you all for your replies:) |
Glad to hear you got this quickly resolved and your baby is doing well!:D |
Glad to hear Daisy is able to relax now and your vet was able to help. :) |
