I would just give the Hill's and not bother with probiotics. ETA: I wouldn't give bully sticks to any dog with digestive issues |
How much of the Bully Stick did she eat? I can't give mine any treats made for dogs. I use Gerber's Graduates Puffs and Cheerios (plain) for treats. What food do you normally feed her when she's not on ID? |

No other symptoms at all. That is why he only changed her food. |

Thanks! I am getting rid of it right now! |

She has had the same one for 2 weeks now. She only chews on it a little bit at a time. This is the first she has ever had. She is so picky on her treats. I will try Cheerios or the Puffs! I have been feeding her NV Instinct. She has done fine on it up until the last few days. She has just turned her nose up. Then today she would not eat at all. When I heard her tummy we headed to the vet. Had too many bad experiences with tummy issues and Rosie. So, I didn't want to take any chances. |

I think my vet will want Rosie to stay on this permanently. We just have too many tummy issues. And I trust my vet so if that is what he thinks is best then I have to do it. I felt the other foods were good foods; however, obviously Rosie needs something different. Ironic that we ended up having the tummy issues after I just posted about stopping the SD. But like you said, you do what you have to do! :) |
I have been making treats from Hills R/D because of the high caloric content in so many of the dog treats. I make 8 slices from a can...and then cut them in 6 pie shapes. Put them on parchment paper on a cookie sheet...bake at 350 for 37 minutes. My pups LOVE them. I wonder if you could do that with I/D? Probably! |

I bet I could! Good idea! :):) Then she could get treats too. You don't add anything at all? |
I don't want to disregard kjc's advice, however Cooper vomits when he eats cheerios. He does really well with Three Dog Bakery peanut butter flavor cookies. Once your little girl is feeling better you can start to slowly experiment with new treats. What foods has she eaten? |
