Hi everyone~
Been a while but just wanted to update. Zoey's doing great and her paws are all good. Vet said she didn't need any special meds on her but I should get her some booties or other protection if I'm planning to keep walking her.
I took MyTrixie's suggestion and bought the musher's secret. I received them today so haven't had a chance to try it yet. Thanks for all the suggestions! Also, I think it's the way she walks/runs that causes her back paws to get all raw like that... She seems to push off with her back lets a lot. | I was just going to ask you this. Uni is a puller, and once she pulled so hard she wore down her back nails that one started bleeding. If Zoey walks similar to Uni I think that's in addition to what's causing it and not just sensitive pads. If it were only sensitive pads and she was a heeler, all the pads would be equally raw. It's hard to train the sled dog out of them. :( |
