Shivers My 4 year old Yorkie started to do an occassional shiver Wed night. Took her to the vet and they could find no reason for it. Checked her for lymes disease and white cell count. Every thing else ok. Does anyone else have this issue. I've had her for more than 3 1/2 years and she has never done this before. Thanks |
If she doesn't have a fever, could be from pain somewhere. Did they look in her mouth to make sure there's not some sort of dental related pain? Just asking because that could have been overlooked if they were focusing more on bloodwork. |
I have figured out that Lucy shivers when she is not feeling well. When her tummy hurts, she shivers. If she's afraid (like at the Vet's office) she shivers. When she got into that tar sealant - she shivers. It's always a good clue to me that she is either in pain or that something is wrong. |
Shivers The vet did look in her mouth and she just had her teeth cleaned in Feb. Not sure what else to think. Guess I'll wait and she if she gets better. |
Does it seem to be only at certain times or under certain curcumstances - like when she's sleeping etc.? If it's random and frequent, I'd maybe seek a second opinion at a different vet. The only time Alice shivers/shakes is when she's scared or somewhere new. My Beagle will shiver when something hurts. If you don't think it's a behovioral thing, like fear, I'd keep trying to figure it out with a vet's help; they could have missed something and she could be in pain. |
Has anyone checked her anal glands? Hope she feels better soon.. |
