Seizure I have a 3 year old wire haired yorkie terrier she had a mild seizure about 6 months ago, today she just had another one. She began shaking for about 2 minutes and then was fine. She didnt vomit or poop, but I dont know anything about this. I do not want to run to the hospital or vet, I am so afraid of the high costs. I am looking for guidance on this matter, should I take her to the vet or just watch her? Any advice will help? Thanks. |
Seizures are not the disease they are a symptom. She needs to be seen and diagnosed by a vet. |

Totally agree: The dog needs to be seen by a vet. This is a symptom of something else that is going on. The only way to treat this is to get an exact diagnosis. |
Your pup's liver function has to be tested. If all blood work is normal, then it's time for a neurologist. If there is anymore seizure activity in the near future (especially in the next day or two), then it is an emergency because if they start clustering together, it can be fatal. Vet visits are expensive, unfortunately. Pets cost money to own though and there is just no way to avoid the doctor. It sounds like it's time to do some testing and find out what is going on with your girl. |
I agree please take your little one to the vet. |

Seizures can be progressive if left untreated and can get worse and worse. You need to spend the money on the vet to find out what is going on with your dog. There is no other way. |
