Hickups Tiny often has hickups. Usually after eating. Does it mean that he ate too fast? Has anyone experienced this? Should I be worried? |
My dogs always get the hic cups. Some times they get it after they eat and sometimes they get it in their sleep. The vet tells me not to worry about it but it still makes me nervous. The vet said it could be from eating too fast but like people sometimes they come out of the blue. My friend always gets them even from smoking. |
The Hiccup reaction is not any different in Dogs, as it is in Humans. One of the causes is a particle of food, which is in the esophagus, which "irritates". That's why one has herd that a drink of water will suppress/stop the Hiccuping. (being washed on down) Take them to Water, but, like with Horses, will they drink ? |
Alice gets hicups sometimes and my aunt's Yorkie gets them alot. Nothing to worry about :) |
Betty Boop got the hiccups a lot when she was a puppy, but she seems to have outgrown them. |
