Keeping Buster and you in my prayers... |
DH drove, Maggie stayed home and that never happens. Maggie usually goes with us everywhere. He cried and stressed really bad during the 45 minute drive. It was worse after we got there. I'm not sure how well he will do next week. I saw LJ while we were there and she was offering words of encouragement. As far as the surgery goes, I feel like he is in good hands with Dr. Beale. He really knows his stuff. |
I am sorry to hear Buster needs surgery. Pixie had it last year and the surgeon said the same thing about the ACL. Pixie had never been away and never was created before surgery. She did much better than I expected. After about a week the surgeon said I could put Roxie her sister in with her and that really helped. I will keep Buster in my prayers for a safe procedure and speedy recovery. |

I think the first 24 hours they are pretty sedated between the surgery and pain meds and sleep most of the time. When I went to pick Pixie up the vet said the techs spent a lot of time holding her. I think it is harder on us sometimes. Pixie just had a check up and the vet said her knee was doing great. That's great he doesn't need to be crated, that was the hardest part. |

I took her out on her leash until she was healed.;) |
Jeanie, I just wanted to offer my support to you. I don't have any experience with LP but wanted to wish you and Buster my well wishes. |
