Lump! Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god! Bringing her to the vet first thing tomorrow morning. Lumps? Oh crap. Anyone have experience with their dog having a lump. Oh crap oh crap oh crap!!! |
Don't panic yet...my schnauzer got these alot. They were little fatty tumors, they were not bad and didn't hurt her at all. They just felt kind of "odd".Hopefully thats all it is. |
Both of my dogs have had them before. Like the person above me said, they were just fatty tumors and went away after about a week. Usually they can follow after shots or injections. Chip had one after a vaccine and Smokey had one where they gave him an anti-inflammatory injection. |
I, myself, have a fatty tumor called a lipoma on my thigh and have had it for years, no treatment needed unless it begins to grow or something. I don't know if dogs have them but it sounds from the above posts that they have them or something very like them. Hope that is all hers are as no pain or anything involved. |

Bought her favorite (roasted chicken breast and turkey meat ends) and gave her some nutrical and the next day she was a lot better. Now, lump. yuck yuck I've been a big ball of stress all week and this is just the topper. |
Oh, that kind of lump and reaction. My 2nd Yorkie always had a lump and a day or two reaction after vaccinations. Sometimes her lump would last for months. With a different vet now, Tibbe gets his shots in series and has no lumps or reactions. |
Did she have a rabies shot? My dogs get a lump at the injection site and it sometimes is there for quite some time. I hope it's something simple like that for your little one! Try not to worry...I know that's easier said than done! |
Uni had a small cyst removed from the top of her head when she went in for her spay. I recently found another one by her elbow. The first one we had a biopsy done and it was nothing, so hoping this new one is nothing also, but I'm just gonna keep an eye on it. |
ETA: Un got a lump from after vax, it was pretty huge. It lasted for a few months. I think the skinnier dogs they seem to show up more. |
I have heard of lumps after where they give the shot. I didnt see them inject her. Where so they typically inject? Her lump is a bit above her armpit. |

Bella has a knot on top of her head too. I have not had it removed yet as our vet said it can wait to be removed unless it changes in some way but I'll probably go ahead & have it done since she needs a dental cleaning :(. The hair that grows from the skin there is really really kinky. |

Someone also mentioned lipomas (fatty tumors, not cancerous). One of my older furkids had a lump the size of a golf ball on his rump, came out of no where. They cut it out and biopsied and only a fatty tumor. |
