Neutered 3 days ago We just got our 1 1/2 yr old morkie Bentley neutered on Tuesday. He has been hiding under the couch most of the time his been home. He doesn't seem to be in pain. He will go up and down the steps and jump onto the couch. I try to keep him from jumping or running but he is usually a pretty jumpy active boy. I was just wondering if his hiding under the couch is normal behavior? His incision looks ok a little pinkish at the actual cut and a little bit swollen but otherwise looks fine to me. Any advice/suggestions? |
I would give the vet a call just to be on the safe side. I hope Bentley is feeling better!! |
The vet may need to see it if it is swollen. Hiding could indicate pain. Did he get pain meds to take at home? If not, I'd request them.. |
Sometimes the actual incision may be a tad bit puffy, but if it is more than just the cut and a lot of swelling, I would have him seen. Actually, it won't hurt to just run him by your vet so they can give a quick look. Since it is Friday, if he does have a problem over the weekend you will be facing an emergency clinic visit. |
