Not really sure whats in the vaccine, its the yearly one that prevents distemper and parvo etc I questioned the vet as well on the coincidence of getting sick the same day as he had his shot but she assured me it has no known side affects and he has had it before with no problems (it may be that they wont want to take responsibility) any way I've made a note in his plunket book for next time and I'm going to check out what is actually in the injection. Going to check out some pet insurance now, who know what this visit is going to cost and if it will be ongonig problem, will keep you all updated.:animal36

This is not true at all. If a vet is telling you that the DHPP vaccine does not ever cause reactions, I would not be seeing this vet anymore. All drugs have side effects and rarely that includes death. So yes, if it was the same night as the vaccine, it was likely from that but it is possible that something was going on before the vaccine was given.

George is Home
 
Picked him up last night, Gastrial virus was the conclusion but he is now on the mend, drinking heaps and had his dinner. Toilet in the middle of the night. (theres me out on the lawn at 2.30am with the torch so I can check the consistency:D) All good, we all so relieved. Even my sons. daughter and nephews have been ringing from all over to see how he is due to my facebook posting.
Now all are hearts are going out to the people in Christchurch after the huge earth quake disaster which struck us yesterday 65 deaths so far and many trapped in buildings and scores are missing, our neighbor has gone down to help in the search and rescue, our prayers are with them

I am very happy to hear George is home and that he is on the mend. Tell him to stay healthy so that you can take more gorgeous pictures. :)
