Slightly enlarged heart We went back to the vet for a 6 month follow up for my dog in which she took an X-ray and she told me that he has a slightly enlarged heart and a heart murmur of a 1. Does anyone else have a dog that has this issue? He has been acting fine until lately he has started this humping issue also. It almost looks like he is having a seizure when he is doing it though. I am getting king of concerned about this. |
I have none of these issues.. but just wanted to say i am so sorry that you are going through this |
The discussions on these threads may help you. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sea...archid=5230628 Odds are, with a grade 1 your pup is going to live a long life, and at least you know so that you can keep an eye on it. |
Lady was diagnosed with a grade 1 heart murmur when I adopted her at age 4.5. She is now 15 and it has never gotten any worse. :) |

I am just curious. My 13 year old female has a slightly enlarged heart and no murmur. She occasionally coughs and I give her lasix for fluid. So she can live a long time with this? |
