luvmymonkies | 11-21-2005 01:41 PM | I had a similar problem with my Maddie. She was fine when I got her, then all of a sudden I noticed a little blood in the stool. I didn't happen again for several weeks but then I noticed blood again. This time it was a lot more. She didn't act sick at all but I still knew she had to get a check up from the vet. No parasites, no sickness, nothing. Turns out my little girl is sensitive in the "backside" area. If she eats too much or eats something that is not of her regular diet, she gets irritated. Anyway, just letting you know that sometimes it's not always a major thing. It didn't cost me that much to find out but you really have to check these things with your vet as soon as possible. Something small could become something major. It will be worth it for you and especially your little guy if he's in any discomfort. Also, if you get scared of vet bills like I do (you never know what it's going to be until it's all over) it would be so worth it to get pet insurance that covers everything. It's only $15-$20 a month and it covers everything from shots to emergencies. Then you'll never have to worry about what the damage is later! Good luck! |
