scratching butt on floor????? My Beya sits on the floor and scratches her butt on the floor, Why??? |
She needs to be seen by her vet, it may be her anal glands or possibly worms. |
There are lots of reasons dogs do this, the best vet is to see the vet- bring a stool sample when you go. It could be full anal glands, worms, or just an itch! |
I agree with everyone else. I have seen mine do the butt scoot from time to time when nothing was wrong but it is always better to check to make sure things are ok. |
Was she just groomed? Sometimes after grooming, Sammy will scoot a little bit because he was clipped too close to the skin and I guess it itches. If not, I would suggest that the vet take a look. Good Luck!! |
First thing to check is whether or not she has any bits of dried poo caught in the hair back there. |
Sounds like you need to clean her anal glands. I just learned how to do this. Not fun but this will help. |
Thank you to everyone. I took my beya in to get this done and I also her bum shaved cause it was getting alittle much. She hasnt done it in 2days so I happy. |
Glad to hear her little problem is solved. :) |

I just found this video... (I personally would take my puppy to the vet. I'd be afraid of doing it wrong!) |
I didn't read all of the posts, so I didn't know the problem was solved before I posted the last two. |
Hey, Princes Mom. Thanks for the video. I've heard of this but I've never seen it done. Hope I never have to do it, but I know a lot more now than I did before I saw the video. |
