Urgent: Looking for Cytarabine (chemo drug)
 
If anyone out there has access to Cytarabine... there is a little Yorkie in dire need of some in Phoenix, AZ. Due to a manufacturer's shortage he has not been able to be treated with it, and it could save his life.

What is the name of the neurologist and the vet hospital. If anyone has contacts with this medication it would he helpful to know this.
No one should try to obtain this medication without knowing the above imho.

RoadRunner Pharmacy | Arizona, Phoenix, Veterinary, Compounding Right in Phoenix. I get some of Carlo's meds from them. Had a terrible problem here trying to get CEENU (Lomustine), Carlo's Chemo drug. Finally, COSTCO was able to get some in for me. Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, no luck.

I would be happy to call the specialists I use if I have the name of the vet who is looking for it!
I also know someone who is a client of Dr. Sisson...she could contact him. Actually, maybe you all should contact him? Just a thought!

I use a compounding pharmacy here in Phx for Wylie's Cushing's med, and when/if Marcel needs something compounded due to his being small. Where did the vet try calling it in...here in Phx? Hope this kiddo finds what they need.

She said the vets and interns had called all around.... even to people hospitals... that there was a shortage of the drug and no one would give/sell them any... reserved for human use until more gets produced? IDK... In the meantime, Dr Sisson had a backup protocol to follow... I didn't know till a bit ago... but she will still need it when the maintenance
protocol starts. He's still in crisis at this point, but showing some improvement.

According to a website I read it will be back in stock the end of Dec or the beginning of Jan.

I get the cushings medication, trilostane, for my little IG from Roadrunner. My vet's office just calls the prescription into them for me.

I hope he get the medication and is out of the crisis stage and into recovery very quickly.
