desperately seeking vomitting feedback Sorry about my first post..I am trying to remember all the rules as i do this. I apologize if I gave too much info. I am hoping to hear from one of you regarding my little baby spike?? Is there anything we can give him to ease his nausea/vomitting?? When he does this, he usually gets better with time--after 6 hrs or so then playful, eating, back to normal. Is there any human-like or baby-like over the counter thing to help rid nausea/vomitting??? It just kills me to watch him go through this!! We will definately return him to vet tomorrow, but like I said, he usually gets better with time. Any ideas to bring about a calm stomach when he wont eat or drink anything?? HELP??? Oh also try Pedialyte because you really need to get fluids in him. Is he drinking or eating at all? AND Welcome to YT :) You'll love it her! |
Plain rice, pepto, and did you say in your other post the vet gave you that methozwhatever. That stuff is BITTER and Loki always spits it out - but it's amazing when it works. Here's how I finally got Loki to take it. Get soft cheese like american or cheddar. Mash it in your fingers until it's soft so that you can put the pill inside and seal it all the way around. THEN, break off another piece to follow up with. I've found Loki will sit, eat the first piece and wait for the second. Otherwise he runs away and spits the pill out (and still eats the cheese, smart little brat!). Try that? |
reply to Athina No, he is not drinking or eating at all. He keeps throwing up clear liquid. Looks like water but he is not drinking any water. |
Thanks Erin for your feedback!! Thanks for your feedback!! It was nice to actually hear from someone. I'll try pepto. Should I use a plastic syringe the vet gave us before for liquid meds, b/c i don't think he will lick it at all. |
POOR baby - this doesn't sound good ...he's not eathing or drinking at all ? You got really good advise - I hope he feels better - There are also 24 hour Emergency Vets around most cities if you feel you need to take him in - they can dehydrate really fast when very small and sick - I hope he'll be ok & GOOD LUCK ps...Most days you will get responses pretty fast but Sundays are sometimes slow and many people are still sleeping or in Church.... |

Some people even give it to their dog as a treat because it is REALLY good for them. You might want to try that out. |
The best advise is an emergency vet but others were good too. Gerbers baby food sweet potatoes is also very good but just go with one thing and not all. Sure hope he is better by now; I just saw the post. |
AWW Por baby I hope he gets better soon and I would try and get into the vets as soon as you can. Try giving him some Pedialyte and some cooked rice. |
