Any news about Heidi? |
Sorry...just got home with her. I meant to post earlier, but when the vet called, I was at the groomer. Then, I got home and went to bed for a bit because I am not feeling well today. Anyway....Heidi is fine. She has quite a large incision line under her leg but that was expected. She had her dental, too, and that went well. We will probably have the results of the histopath back from A&M at the beginning of next week. |
glad she's home and resting comfortably. boy oh boy, when it rains it pours, huh? hope you're feeling better soon. |

Thanks! :) Mine is just some upper respiratory junk courtesy of my grandson. Children are dangerous. Heidi has pain meds on board so she should have a quiet evening. :) |

On a different note, I bet your two little ones are looking spiffy with their new dos. :) Also, hope you are feeling better soon and had a good nap this afternoon. |

Oh....Armani has a totally new look. I had her cut all that beautiful hair OFF. I did that some time ago and hated it....let it all grow back and hated that! hahha He plays constantly with one of my fosters and tangles his hair and also gets SO dirty that I just decided no more until she is adopted. Pippi kept her long hair for now. |
That poor lil girl. That will hurt for some time, I'm betting. She surely has been through the mill. I hope the results are good for her. Bless her lil heart! |

She really is a little miracle girl! It's wonderful the dr was able to make her leg over - so to speak. She's been through too much in her short life! It amazes me to see these little one's be so strong! |
I've been wondering how Heidi is today? |

Histopathology report Just got the report back from A & M and it was melanoma. :( Thankfully, it appears that all of it was removed; and the report says that there is a low mitotic index which suggests a low metastatic potential. I am still concerned and need to digest this before making any decisions. My vet feels that we should just watch closely for any new ones but feels strongly that there will not be any. She said we could xray to see if there is anything in her chest but she feels there will not be. I asked about an oncologist and of course she said I could do that, but felt it was not needed. I really am a bit confused and worried now. :( I have been really sick the past couple of days, so I guess I will just wait until I am feeling better and after Heidi gets her sutures out to decide what to do next. |
If she were mine, I\'d trust you to decide what was the best thing to do for her. No questions asked! Sorry you aren\'t feeling well. |
:animal-pa Linda, first of all, Get Well! I am so sorry to hear about Heidi. Hopefully they got everything and she can finally live a peaceful life with a great family. Her doctors are fantastic. Linda, you are truly a Yorkie Angel. :animal-pa |
I will say a prayer for you and little Heidi. |
Just want to say that I am sorry the tests did not come back with a more positive result for Heidi. But, I know you will do whatever is best and glad you have such a great vet. Hope you are feeling better today and getting some rest and naps. |
I\'m sorry it wasn\'t better news for Heidi but I do feel encouraged the cancer probably hasn\'t spread. Caught early as in Heidi\'s case melanoma is curable and my prayer will be it\'s all gone now♥. Hope you\'re feeling better, Linda...hugs! |
