kwalden | 11-08-2010 11:26 AM | Worried...Need Answers! We have a yorkie puppy, Charlie. He is 13 weeks old. He has been doing great!! But, this morning, he was sitting under the table while I was working and I heard a sound which I thought was diarrhea, but he was just passing gas. (This has been going on for about 2 hours.) Then, he went over into the living room and threw up a little. It was just liquid. He has been eating this morning. He is resting and really doesn't seem lethargic, but I am concerned. I know these tiny babies can get really sick so quickly. (He is about 2 lbs.) He is responding when we talk to him and changing positions like he normally does. Any suggestions. He came to us from the breeder on Eukanuba. We were planning to switch him over to Artemis fresh mix for small breed puppies. We started adding it slowly, but as soon as we added it....he started picking it out and not eating his other food. He had one kind of wet bowel movement after that first day, but not since. Could it be his food? The only thing I am aware of that he ate unusual was a piece of candy corn. I dropped it yesterday and he got to it before I could grab it. (he's really fast). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to freak out for no reason, but I want to make sure he is OK. What should I look for? Is there anything I should get him? or give him? |
