Diarrhea help!!! My 6 month old Zoi had bloody muccusy diarrhea last Sunday I took her to the vet on Monday and he put her on three doses of Sucralfate 100 mg and she was better for a day the the diarrhea came back no muccus this time. She is eatting good and acts like she feels good. He checked for worms on Monday and on Friday and now she is on immodium and still has it. She has been on the same food for two months and I have cut out all treats. What the heck. What should I do now. Take her back to the vet, get another vet or what????? |
Yes take her back to the vet the diahrea should have cleared up by now |
I would definately take her back. If she has a bacterial infection thats causing the diarrhea, that needs to be treated. She may along with any other treatment need to have her food switched to formula for GI problems for awhile. One of mine did this twice last year. He was put on Purina EN, a prescription formula. Has your vet done a stool sample to see whats going on? |
Take her back to the vet's and in the future...keep her on a bland diet for a few days afterward. |
