Buster Brown is coming Home from the Hospital Buster had his LP surgery and is doing great! He did not need the Ulnar Ostecomy on the right front. It is just arthritic :( But we will find ways to make it less painful for him. I can't wait to pick him up and smother him with kisses. I got a wonderful Kiss-E-Collar from Bo so he will be comfortable, not to mention stylish! Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. Carolyn |
That's fantastic news. I've been checking all day to see how it went. |
I'm so glad! Hugs to Buster. |
So happy that all went well. Sending get well kisses to Buster!! |
Outstanding! As I kid, I used to wear his shoes. |
Great to hear. Love the Kiss E collars. You will be surprised how quickly they heal. |
I too am glad to hear his surgery went well! We want to see pictures of him in his cute e-collar. |
Good news! I hope Buster has a speedy recovery! |
Here's to a speedy recovery, hope and pray all goes well. |
Buster is doing really well. He is eating, drinking, peeing and pooping so everthing is in working order. We had a little scare on Saturday morning. We got up to pee and when he settled down on the bed for a cuddle with mommy he adjusted himself and gave a squeal of pain and I heard a pop. I rushed him back to the hospital where they examined him and took xrays. Everthing seemed to be ok. They thought maybe the knee popped out while sleeping and then popped back into place as the knee and muscles are still used to the old position. A scary moment for the both of us! But he is all ready touching the toe down when he is assuming the potty position. I must say he does not like the taste of his antibiotics and pain mediaction. You would think he was Linda Blair from the exorcist the way he turns his head when I am trying to get the syringe into his mouth. Poor baby! But a little peanut butter helps get rid of that nasty taste. Thank goodness for Bo's collar because the soft surgical collar the hospital gave him does not keep the little contortionist away from his stitches. It is amazing how he turns himself inside out to scratch that itch! Buster wants to thank everyone for the kind thoughts and prayers. |
Thanks for the update. I am so glad to hear Buster is doing so well. |
I am so glad he is doing so well. |
Great news! How is Buster Brown today?:) |
Hope he continues to improve, sorry about the scare you had...but sounds like all is going well. |
Wow time flys. On Thursday it will be 1 month since Buster's surgery. We will go in for xrays on Monday to check how he is doing. If you ask Buster it is GREAT! He just wants to run and play and is quite upset that he is not allowed to. I also want to say Yeah Pet Plan! they were very prompt in their payments so mommy is very happy as this LP surgery was our first claim with them. His girlfriend Lola came over on Saturday as it was her 1st birthday. Buster had a present for her. He was very proud that he bought it with the money he had earned in a Halloween costume contest. Since he is a romantic gentleman jewelry was of course the gift. Buster and I had discussed how Lola's mom kept forgetting to get her a collar and id tag so Buster decided that is what he wanted to give her. Lola looked very pretty in her Roses and Skulls collar with her red heart ID. Too bad he was not allowed out of his pen yet to play but it was a very nice Birthday visit. |
