Yorkie is sneezing we went camping last week and I think my baby (5 months) might have a little cold. Any ideas of what to do beside the obvoius, call the vet? How can you tell if they have a cold? He is running around and playing but sometimes stops to sneeze. |
Best advice is always to go to the vet and ask your vet. Lexi was sneezing a lot because I took her outside to pee and it was wet and raining plus the weather is changing from summer to fall. She sneezed every minute but now it's gone away. I did not take her to the vet but I should have. I'm lucky it wasn't anything too serious. |
You want to be very careful with the little one's. Take to vet. Respiratory problems can easily become pneumonia. |
Yorkies are very delicate, just what others have said, take your baby to the vet. |
Yep...there is no other answer besides call the vet! Please do this asap....putting it off could lead to a very sick pup. Good luck! Keep us posted, please! |
thanks all, took Winston to the vet. She says he might have picked up a batercia or something camping this weekend. Had no temp and has a little drainage but it is clear. We are going to give him some meds and she how he does in a week. If anything changes I am to call her. Was glad I went, I feel better about it. The other little dog we were keeping last week also has the same thing (3yr Yorkie 4lbs.) her vet told her to make sure I had my dog checked. When she called I tolded her we had just got back from the vets. Thanks you all. I had an Old English for 16yrs. I worry about my little guy all the time because he is so little. |
Thanks for the update! I am happy to hear that you took Winston to the vet...hopefully the meds will help him soon! :) |
Hope your little one is improving... |
thank you, Winston has not sneezed today. He has meds for a week. It hasn't stopped him, he is running around like nothing is wrong. He is all boy!! |
That's wonderful to hear. They can go down so fast. I'm happy to hear he's doing so well.:) |
