Is there anything else we can do? Bone Cancer 4 year old Yorkie has been diagnosed with bone cancer. He had minor ampution of his two left fingers on his left front paw along with the full removal of the tumor. This was followed by 2 rounds of localized chemo which came in a shot in liquid and turned into a solid after being given. On the third round of chemo, my mom had brought him in for me as I was away very briefly. He still had not been putting down the paw that had the cancer and amputation etc. Dr said he should have been. He took an xray of his chest as well and found that it has now spread to his lungs. I feel that there has to be something to extend his life a little bit longer even though we were told there is nothing else to do. He's four. It is so unfair. He's like a puppy still. Is there any natural food remedies we can use to help extend his life? Is there anything else we can do? |
I have no experience with this so I can't give any advice. I just wanted you to know how sorry I am and I am praying for you and your furbaby. |
I just wanted to say I'm am sorry to hear this about your baby and I will keep him in my prayers. |
So sad. I hope somebody has an answer. Hugs and kisses for your baby! |
I'm sorry, I don't know of anything to help either. Sending thoughts and prayers for your baby. |
I am sorry to hear about your baby. Have you gotten a second opinion by an oncologist? That's the only thing I can think of. |
I have a wonderful vet in Tucson that does both regular and alternative med.He has a website but not sure of the address it's called P.A.W.S in Tucson. He has several alternative treatments, maybe he knows of a vet near you that can help. He has about 30yrs to his credit and is a wonderful caring and kind man. He may even do phone consuls with your vet. It's worth a try. He helped me with Firbroscarcoma. Best of Luck and Love to your little guy!!!! sparklingbluyorkies.com |
I'm so sorry to hear that your little boy's cancer metastasized to his chest. :( If your not seeing an oncologist already then i would ask your vet to refer you to one. If you are already seeing an oncologist as well as your regular vet then i guess you can always try a holistic vet or acupuncture. they're worth a shot, and you've got nothing to lose. Its so sad to see such a young dog who is so full of life get cancer like that. The best thing you can do for him and yourself is to make every day count. enjoy your time together and have as much fun as you can. |
I just looked up where you live and see you are close to the city and north jersey. There are two great referral hospitals that i recommend going to for an oncologist: Animal Medical Center (AMC) in the city and Animal Emergency and Referral Associates in Fairfield, NJ. |
I don't have any advice to offer, but wanted you to know that I will keep you and your little furbaby in my prayers. I am so sorry this happened to your baby. |

and most likely, he would put him on a small dose of prednisone to shrink the growth, may recommend surgery if there is a Mass, and IV Chemo. Specialist. At 4, he has a great shot at beating it with the proper care, |

You could try K9 Immunity. I gave it to my lymphoma dog and am giving it to Opal, my IG who had a mast cell tumor removed from her side earlier this year. The website is K-9 Immunity | Aloha Medicinals I really am sorry about your little guy. He is so young! |
I agree with those who have suggested a specialist. I am so sorry that you and your pup are going through this. |
